Ouch! Brittain was making herself a ham sandwich when David accidentally got his hand bitten! Looks like Brittain made more of a "hand" sandwich! This reminds David of a verse in the Bible when the disciples took a bite out of Jesus! I think he might not be remembering it correctly, though... I know what can clear up his confusion, though!
