THE YOUTH YAK! (February 2026)

In this edition of the Youth Yak, get ready to hear what is happening in the up-and-coming months! We have put together a schedule and can't wait to be a part of what God has planned for us.

We are kicking things off with Winter Jam on February 5th. The cost is $15 (at the door) plus whatever extra money you want to bring for snacks or merch. We will meet at the church at 3:45 PM and leave at 4:00 PM to head down to the Ford Center. We aim to be back around 11:30 PM.

Looking ahead, we have Game Nights planned for February and March. Then, in April, we are excited to announce our Spring Youth Retreat at Temple Hills! We will leave Friday, April 10th, and return on the 12th. It will be an amazing time to disconnect from the world and grow closer to God and each other. As school winds down and summer begins, look forward to a day trip to Patoka Lake and a weekend visit to the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter.

It’s not just about the places we will go, but also the people and communities we serve. We are getting to be the hands and feet of Jesus, standing in the gap for others.

Big things aren't just happening on our adventures; big things are happening in the youth room, too!

• Sunday Mornings (10:30 AM): We are digging deeper into those Bible stories you’ve heard 1,000 times to ask: How does this apply to us today? We are looking at the why, the how, and the messed up and broken, seeing that God still chose them, loved them, and used them—misfits and all.
• Sunday & Wednesday Nights: We are discussing real topics like friendships, relationships, temptation, and the "hows and whys" of our struggles.

If you haven't been to youth group, or if you are still looking for a place to belong, we want to invite you to join us. It’s loud, it’s fun, and it’s a great way to connect with people in the same boat as you. We are a bunch of misfits, just like the disciples, following Jesus and wanting to be used for His Kingdom.
